Golden
If you took a cup of gold
and poured it into darkness,
the filaments would diffuse and fill
that spaceless, empty void
and become the velvet black.
If you filled that velvet black
with honeyed drops from God's own heart,
we would bathe in liquid light,
our weariness washed clean.
And if we stood in radiance
that filled our aching thirst,
strength would gather all around
and fountain from within,
While waters from the heavens sky
would fall with love, like golden rain.
